Hello Georgia Bard,

I would like to register my viewpoint here, like I did on the Q&A thread yesterday, that short selling is a necessary and healthy part of the stock market. I also have come to believe through my conversations with you on that thread that you have very little understanding of how the stock market, and short-selling in particular, works. I urge everyone who reads this thread to call his or her broker and get a professional opinion about the nature of short-selling before committing him or herself to your ill-considered petition.

I would love to comment on this thing. But I have made my comments on the Q&A board and now that I think about it, it is probably best, as an Admin, to keep my mouth shut on really hot issues.

So, the least I could do, is put it on the front page to draw positive and negative viewpoints into the discussion.

Good luck and I always encourage people to stand up for what they believe in, even if I don't agree.
