I didnt get the feeling Sir John was talking about local market events,they are certainly different than national events,houses probably got pretty cheap at love canal too,just a guess.They probably went up because of some govt. program.

So true!! Houston in late 1985, a slightly used 3 bedroom homes went for $12,000 range. You could not find a bank to loan you the money to purchase even at that price.
