Look at Rush Limbaugh who has made a career out of slurring African-Americans. He did get fired from mainstream TV on ESPN for racist remarks. However he has maintained his radio show and kept his sponsors despite a lifetime of racist behavior. So if you are going to fire Imus, you must also fire Limbaugh.
