LOL - touchy aren't we?
Actually, I was simply offering a counterpoint argument, of sorts.
The context that I heard from the entire dialogue was that he was comparing the appearance (physical) of the Rutgers team to that of the Tennesse team. From there is where the "infamous" words were derived.
How could they not be considered hurtful?
His comment was that in comparison to the tennesse girls they appeared "hard" and like "nappy headed ho's" "tattooed"
Not hurtful?
I disagree.
While his intent may not have been to hurt these girls specifically, that is exactly what this idiot did.
Simple as that.
What he said was indefensible IMO and apparently the sponsers felt similarly. Thus he got the boot.
I meant no disrespect when I made an analogy to your family, I simply wanted to show what it would feel like if the attack was at someone you loved.
Obviously, you'd be miffed as well.
I'm just tired of the excuses I have seen laid out over the last week, that Imus is just a good ol boy, and shucks, he didn't mean it....
He F'd up huge.
My apologies for upsetting you. Just wanted to have a dialogue. I doubt you would have posted in his defense had your family been the brunt of his "joke"
