#30122 RE: Amaunet #30120

thanks, but this is what I dont get:

Therefore the merger in its original intent would have given Exxon Mobil, a foreign entity, seats in Duma.

In the USA everybody buys seats in the congress by election campaign funding. Once elected, why would they have to like YUKOS anymore than Rockefeller in west virginia likes the oil companies?

I dont see how giving campaign funds means controlling the russian parliament. and it seems like hyperbole to say that spending money on electing people means you have a seat in the Dumas , or if EXON bought the the company then EXON would vote seats in the DUmas

Citibank is 25% maybe 24% owned ( to avoid the foreign owned moniker, but I am not sure of exact ownership) by one saudi prince who bailed it out in 1990 1991 or so. And the Saudis certainly spend a hell of alot more than 100 million electing people in the USA. Do they control the banking system and the US congress?

The real conspiracy theory is that Yukos was nailed to prevent the transshipment of oil through the Negev from the mediterannean to Eilat and then to Japan, avoiding the suez which is too small for really big ships.........
