Emmett, Furla in TV 'Deal'
Production company takes to tube

Prolific feature producers Randall Emmett and George Furla
are making a move into television.

Emmett/Furla Films, whose recent titles include Irwin Winkler's "Home of the Brave" and the Bruce Willis starrer "16 Blocks," has put together a potential sports-themed reality show with former Playboy Playmate Stephanie Heinrich and Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor.

Skein "The Real Deal" will put NFL stars in situations where they're "confronting their fears in environments in which we don't usually see them," Emmett said.

Heinrich, who's also inked a one-year development deal with Emmett/Furla, brought the idea to the company and will serve as a producer and host. Taylor will also produce.

Company expects to begin pitching "Real Deal" to nets in the next few weeks.

Emmett/Furla is also working on another potential pilot and has plans to slowly expand into the small-screen arena, Emmett told Daily Variety.

"Television is something we've always had a passion for, but we wanted to establish ourselves as feature producers first," he said.

Shingle has been successful on that front, putting together nearly 50 feature projects since launching a decade ago. Emmett/Furla's slate includes Scarlett Johansson starrer "Brilliant" and Morgan Freeman starrer "The Code."

If all goes well, Emmett said the company will begin looking for a dedicated TV topper later this year.
