That's par for that store. Same thing happened to us at their Sunnyvale store. Even asking for help had no results. We don't go there any more.

I'm not even close. But I am close to having all six of my trend following models giving a "sell" signal simultaneously. (Have to crunch some numbers to figure out whether that's significant or not though.)


I don't know what was going on at The Good Guys, but I was there an hour and nobody came over to help me. The only salesperson had several people waiting in line.
Then I went to Best Buy. Every 5 minutes a salesperson was asking if I needed assistance.

Had a very similar situation with the local Staples (Pleasanton) & Office Depot (Dublin). Last few times I went to Staples, (just closer enough to my home to make it worthwhile over OD for quick trips), I couldn't find anybody who knew how to run the register. At OD, OTOH, they practically slobber on you with obsequiousness when they encounter you in the aisles.

Update: The Staples is now closed.


BTW, what is the Bear thread where all the urination is occuring???

Long Best Buy, short Good Guys may be a good holiday retail strategy.

Another thought. Don't try to get help at the Best Buy at Pentagon City, VA, (across the freeway from the Pentagon, just outside DC).

On the other hand, I couldn't get help in the china dept of the Pentagon City Macy's either, despite the fact that I was literally carrying my gold card in my hand with the gold side turned up. Wound up making my purchase by phone -- to the Macy's at Stoneridge, here in Pleasanton. SHEESH!
