I don't know if this theory of mine holds water, but if today's P/C ratio represents a hedging strategy on the part of bulls, it could actually be a sign of exhaustion. They have no more money to buy, so they are using what funds they have to hedge.
Pretty speculative at this point, but I'm going to try to see if there is anything to it.
