lowman, what was paid was documented in the link to the 10K balance_builder posted for you. Take an hour or two and read it. Many of these questions will be answered.

Anyone doubting the existence of oil in the JDZ only needs to look at the $130M+ paid by ChevronTexaco and ExxonMobile just for the rights to drill for oil in water a mile deep! They don't pay in excess of a hundred million dollars for acreage in mile deep water unless they're d@mn sure the oil is there.
