My only concern with SNN is : Why do they keep coming to the market every 2-4 weeks saying look at us. Look how much money we are making blah blah blah.
Every time I have seen this kind of behaviour there is always a disaster following. While I'm not say this will happen this time but I am concerned. Quality companies normally work on the theory that the market will find them and fairly value them. Not jump up and down every few days trying to gain attention. Something doesn't stack.
I will be selling my shares in the next few days. Even though it may go higher something gives me an uneasy feeling and sometimes it's better to go with the gut than maths. I could be wrong of course and all of you will have the chance to call me an idiot and I will be pleased if you make lots more money.
My favourite stock at the moment is IMF which I have tried to talk about on HC but no one has listened. They have doubled over the past few months and I think they will double again over the following ones. Unfortunately I sold 1/2 my holding at $0.85 and now they are $1.08 off the back of the Aristocrat suit.
I bought the SWT as well. interesting story - Front page of AFR talks about the shortage of supply in broadband and SWT seems to be pulling its weight. Time will tell. Bit to much hot money in it for my liking though. But could easily do a double as well.
Tex, the market will chase it closer to the divi record date in January. Then ex divi will see a drop....the usual pattern brought on by divi traders.
Had a chat today with my broker about SNN. He was mightily impressed and will be calling the company to have a chat prior to putting it on his recommended list.
