It's pretty much a foregone conclusion it will happen. I haven't looked at the contract again, but there probably is a void clause if one of the parties is deciving the other one.

Deals off, this is one way of doing it. Seen if before. A bit cheesy since you can always find a minor violation in reporting if you look hard enough. Just like you can always find something improperly done in your taxes.
