Having two children on active duty, I sincerely hope the scientist doesn't assume when he develops the products purchased by the military.

Well, not really Churak....because it really wouldn't be worth enough to make a deposit. The contracts division doesn't skimp on quality. When they make an order, it is for a specific item (including brand) at the lowest bid, not simply "a weapon" at the lowest bid.
I mean Sigs ain't cheap, but they handle well, have fewer malfunctions and are more accurate in siting and firing than say, a Taurus or Baretta. They are more expensive than an S&W....and they are used by MANY government agencies, however purchased at the lowest bid.
