Actually Year, at times I do believe I could do a better job raising money, if they have what they say they have, and I have offered to do so - I offered to introduce them to a founder/partner of Sequoia Capital in San Jose who's also a founder of Nat'l Semiconductor (he's extremely well known in the global chip business and has successfully built and funded several semi firms). He is also COB of another company I'm invested in, for which I helped raise funding.

{I'm not living in Brad's shoes, and so who's to say what the real issues are behind their inability to gain the funding they need, but clearly as of this moment they have not proven their case enough to warrant anyone, or a group, to put up the $10-12MM they appear to need to truly put the company into the semi game even on a modest single product scale}

I also offered to leave a highly successful 20 yr career in business development and marketing with a Fortune 50 company and work for NVI for free for 90 days in order to prove to them that I could help them on that front too. I was not looking for a huge salary after the fact either; I believe in earning ones keep and only being rewared AFTER one delivers the goods.

{In hindsight, thank goodness it never went beyond a couple of phone conversations and one or two face to face meetings in San Deigo}

NVI was not interested in either offer to help.

Hey - no one is obligated to accept help; I'm quite confident they sincerely felt they didn't need the help as they wholeheartedly believed they had it well under control and had plenty of high talent on hand to get the job done.

None the less - here we sit waiting for a sign that they can get the job done - something more than a $300,000 funding package (the structure of which remains a mystery to us), which is little more than they've routinely raises just about every other month for the past 5 yrs via 144 sales.

Although you may be saying this in "jest", this post may have MUCH more merit than you intended. I believe that there are many who post here that have a great deal of experience both in business as well as technology. If these people actually put their mind to it, they could in fact develop some very interesting technology and make it into a very success business venture.

Just a thought as I was reading your post.
