Why don't you get his newsletter so we can get his latest forecast. It looks like it's a 10 pager every Monday morning. It's only a measly $36,000. <g>

Belkin Report

Trading Investments On A Statistical Asset Allocation Model

The Belkin Report is designed to inspire institutional investors with a focused list of investment forecasts for global markets. The service is comprised of: 1) Fundamental scenarios for world securities markets based on credit conditions, economic analyses and critiques of central bank operations and 2) Specific market forecasts based on a proprietary statistical asset allocation model. The 10 page weekly report arrives on Monday (PST) via email.

The report begins with a one or two page commentary. The comments tend to be brief, concise and controversial. Belkin's fundamental economic philosophy is passionately free-market. Market coverage encompasses global stock indexes, industry group rotation forecasts for the US, EuroZone, UK and Japanese equity markets, emerging equity markets, currencies, bonds, short-term interest rates, and commodities. Clients get a forecast of which markets and industry groups are likely to spring into favor or fall out of fashion in the constant rotation of global financial assets. The changing market and sector forecasts give subscribers a starting point each week with which to evaluate their own investment positions. The report includes many timely charts, which highlight the markets that are currently the most compelling purchases or sales. The charts supplement the commentary as an idea source for portfolio managers, focusing attention on the current week's most promising investment opportunities.

Mr. Belkin’s conclusions are bold, unlike most brokerage house research. Belkin (Salomon Brothers veteran) knows firsthand the pressure to conform within the brokerage industry, which colors most brokerage research recommendations. He believes broker's primary objective is usually to move inventory and earn corporate finance fees, which leaves the customer's well-being a secondary concern. That bias, he notes creates a huge niche for investment research that is untainted by such prejudice. The Belkin Report attempts to fill that void with commentary that is unique, insightful, challenging and objective.

All market recommendations are based on statistical projections, derived from a sophisticated proprietary asset allocation model. The target holding period for model trading signals is intermediate term, ideally 2-3 months or longer. The model forecasts frequently signal big moves in advance of any price movement in the underlying market, based on a probability distribution of upside and downside risk in each market.

Belkin notes that his clients don't necessarily agree with everything in the report, but they find the service stimulating as a source of ideas and useful as a confirmation or critique of their own viewpoints. Perceptive, open-minded global investors find that the timing suggestions from the Belkin Report are a useful complement to their own fundamental viewpoint on global asset allocation. The disciplined approach of the Belkin Report is designed to help clients catch major trends and turning points across all markets. The objective is to prepare and alert clients to the highest probability market opportunities lying just over the horizon.

The Belkin Report is an institutional service which costs $36,000 US (hard) annually and can be expensed as a soft dollar cost of trading.
