My guess is if he is really out of country that being a new CEO I would imagine he is conducting buisiness. Investors?, partners?, maybe purchase of equipment?, I just do not think a new CEO has time to bask in the sun or sitesee.
I may not even believe he is out of the country, but possibly just said that to buy himself some time to get organized, find the direction to take the company, and prepare a well thought out PR.
I think in any case none of the above is bad news, in fact if he just laid out a poor PR with no thought or research of the company he just took over NOW THAT WOULD BE BAD.
Slow down enjoy the ride. Looks like we are leveled out for now so no worry.
