A surf of the old Voltaires Porch thread, renamed "The Critical Investing Workshop" and a surf of the newer moderated Voltaires Porch reveals the diversity and numbers of the folks that took part in that mania.
For those of us that had been around the investment block a few times the mania was obvious. However, you could not tell that to the many folks whose life savings were invested in bubble stocks like QCOM. The "Qualcomm - Coming Into Buy Range" thread while populated by a few nice folks was for the post part dominated by idiots and assholes.
I am sure some of those folks learned some sort of lesson. However, da_boyz depend on the stupidity of the general public so they can repeat these scenarios. Unfortunately, it seems the general public is willing to accommodate da_boyz indefinitely.
