Well, we'll see what happens. Microprocessor market is quite large, so it may come down to how you declare victory for one chip or another.
A mass produced MIPS chiped, made with Chinesee labor, could put downside pressure on the Linux portion of Intel business, but like i said, Intel already has a lot of competition on that front.
What percentage of desktops (not servers) will be linux in the next 10 years? If the majority of desktop machines continue to run windows, then won't Intel continue to dominate that market?
