i think it's possible they turn the cameras off occasionally for security reasons. "smart guard" may be activated by an alternate login. you have to think some of these clients don't want the entire world to be able to look in and see the inventory they are parking in deep down's facility. once the coast is clear i'd think they disable this secure function and allow all logins again. this is only my theory on the matter.
