TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida Legislature on Friday passed a balanced $114.5 billion state budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year, marking the second consecutive year lawmakers have reduced overall spending while channeling hundreds of millions of dollars toward agricultural relief and food security.
The budget, which passed the Senate unanimously in a 35-0 vote after clearing the House, spends $365.3 million less than the current fiscal year. Alongside the spending plan, lawmakers approved a $272.2 million tax relief package featuring several sales tax holidays and targeted property tax reforms.
