One certainty would be that Trump would be pouring American public money into buying opposition demonstrations to the regime in Iran. Promoting demos would provoke the regime into more domestic murder theus giving Trump more justification to invade.
That's not in any way to suggest opposition to the mullah regime is legit in itself.
