the leveling off in sales of the existing products is expected. .... It's built into the current price. What is not built into the current price is any growth from new products, or any positive R&D news.
Why is the leveling off of sales built into the current (lower) price but not new products etc?
Are investors ignorant and only see one side of the equation?
Investors can’t build in what isn’t communicated. Working on R&D isn’t exactly great insight with no details on products or expected timing. The lack of forward communication significantly limits any future expectations being calculated - last time I checked and the market was still forward looking.
