I totally share your frustration here. The price per share is not accurately representing the value.
There is such a huge disconnect in people's minds between market dynamics and the dynamics of business growth.
This manifests as a sort of vulnerability or instability in the company. It's very misleading and deceptive. The demand for the stock is driven hard by the retail public who, by the way, are very reactive....and often very uninformed.

This winning strategy in my book is to look closely and understand the moves that the company itself is making . If the company is good, screw the market and hold on,. Hell, buy more.

I got punched about 15% on my HWM shares, but those cheaper shares I bought a week or so ago are each already up 6.5% this morning. Good company in a rocky market. Play the company, not the market.

Only sell out when it's clear the company is not executing the strategy they have laid out .Going against the grain ( i. e., what others are all doing) is a little hard, but when you have good hard data on your side,run with it .
