“ ..and i dont want that money coming from dilution...and i dont want to wait around another 2-3 years to build out and grow while kim slow rolls everything..”

No one wants dilution and no one wants to wait 2-3 years. The problem is, and has always been, that absent sales to fund expansion, ALL funding options are dilutive.

The debate over whether Kim should find Daddy Warbucks to chip in vs continuing to issue more shares is pointless without knowing what Daddy Warbucks wants for his risk.

Preproduction… he’s going to want a lot. Way more than Kim is willing to give. Including IP control and customer flexibility in some cases.

Invite a partner too early ? you give away upside
too late ? you’re desperate and give away even more

If we are truly on the eve of production and prove scalability and performance, then I’m all for talking to a partner after takeoff. that would really hit the accelerator. That deal would be negotiated from a position of strength rather than desperation.

Exciting few months ahead either way.

They are only adding facilities as they are needed. You could add 20 facilities, that doesn't mean they have the production to fill them. Adding facilities does not speed up the production of worms and cocoons. You add the facilities as the production grows. It doesn't work the other way around.

They have the mulberry they currently need. Adding more mulberry does not speed up production. We are waiting on the speed on the ability to expand by the silk moths to reproduce. And they have expanded at the rate of the moths reproducing. Why would you spend the money on it way before it is needed? The facilities go up very fast. Seems like it's well within two cycles. It's not like they are surprised by all of a sudden needing more room. They know how much to expand and when it is needed.

Mood lighting and Barry White can only go so far.

what is needed is a very large supply of mulberry...you have to buy or lease the land to plant mulberry or lease or buy existing mulberry gardens...and those farmers need to get paid...you need to build the facility...you need to hire and train workers...you need a lot of water, power etc...

You don't need all that. All he has to do is produce the eggs/larva and then hire farmers, that are already raising silkworms, to feed and raise the worms until they cocoon. When the farmer gets paid you get your cocoons back. There is no way KT is planning on buying/renting land and buildings, training personnel, and growing all the cocoons in house. It just isn't feasible to scale that way. The farmers already have all the facilities, mulberry, and training required. All KT needs is BAM1 eggs/larva, an NDA agreement(he seems to be an expert in those), and enough money to pay for the farmers' input.
