I read about the remarks Trump made about former Presidents making a comment to him about him attacking Iran. I just laughed at the clueless lying son of a bitch whose even closes relatives don't want have anything to do with him. Again, I am not forming an opinion about the Shah of Iran, I am forming an opinion based on the merits that I actually lived there, so did many generations before me, I had and still do have many Persian friends, not one, not one iota of anyone complaining about the Shah, from middle class to rich people and anyone in between, life wasn't good to religious fanatics, who couldn't stand to watch casinos on the pier, who couldn't stand Western style night clubs, who couldn't stand Frank Sinatra performing a concert or Charles Aznavor performing a concert, or Liz Taylor or Farah Fawcett enjoying her day at the beach with her bikinis, who couldn't stand people like my aunt owning a beach front private villa by the Caspian Sea (Chalus), much like what is Puerta Vallarta in Mexico is today. Life was phenomenal in Iran or under the Shah, yes he did mistakes, but he definitely was not corrupt.
