All through that time each president knew the deterrent value of MAD, Mutual Assured Destruction.

It's why no nuclear power has dared to strike first, much less an incipient nuclear armed Iran upon whom satellite scrutiny by the U.S. would have detected test launches of ICBMs by Iran; many of which would have blown up on the launch pad because that's what testing is about. And forget about Iranian MIRV'd warheads; take too long to develop. Too easy to detect and destroy too.

Again, among all presidents going back to Reagan, Trump is the only willfully ignorant, gutless piece of shit, to lead us into a shitshow with Iran.

Everyone, including Putin, China and the Ayatollahs KNOWS that just ONE U.S. Sub could destroy whomever, many times over.

Do the math.

Sub launched MIRV missiles from the U.S, how many warheads?

Total Submarine Payload: An Ohio-class submarine carries 20 missiles. With an average of 4.5 warheads per missile, a single "boomer" typically carries about 90 nuclear warheads.

There are currently 18 Ohio-class submarines in service with the U.S. Navy. While they all share the same hull design, they are divided into two distinct groups based on their mission and armament:

1. Ballistic Missile Submarines (SSBNs)
Quantity: 14 active submarines.

Mission: These are known as "boomers" and serve as the sea-based leg of the U.S. nuclear triad.
Armament: Each carries up to 20 Trident II D5 ballistic missiles.

2. Guided Missile Submarines (SSGNs)
Quantity: 4 active submarines (USS Ohio, Michigan, Florida, and Georgia).

Mission: Converted from the oldest ballistic missile hulls, these carry conventional (non-nuclear) weapons and support special operations.

Armament: Each can carry up to 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles and host up to 66 Special Operations Forces, such as Navy SEALs.

Future Outlook

The Ohio class is approaching the end of its operational life. The Navy has begun a phased retirement plan:
Replacement: The Columbia-class submarines will eventually replace the SSBNs, with the first of the new class expected to be operational by 2031.

Retirement Schedule: The four SSGNs are scheduled for retirement between 2026 and 2028, while the 14 SSBNs will begin retiring at a rate of one per year starting in 2027.

The JCPOA was working until Trump tore it up because a black guy negotiated it. End of story. This is on Trump and Netanyahu.

The author blames people's dislike of Trump for not supporting the war effort without offering any concrete evidence of why Iran was such a threat to us.

The comment section of that article completely buries that author's premise.

I'm guessing you just saw the headline before the paywall and posted it, like you usually do.

Trump started a war without Congressional input. He subverted our Constitution yet again and we'll be suffering for this catastrophic failure for generations to come.
