Prices jumped almost 40 cents late Saturday afternoon. That's retail stations gouging customers. Stations gas today was paid for on last months contracts so jumping prices is just rape. Gas always goes up instantly and takes days/weeks to come down.
When I was a assist mnger of a big store gas station, I did simple night receipts paperwork... back then stations did a drive around to see what prices were in a given area of competition and altered their price instantly that morning via orders from corporate. But that's all changed now with the tracking stuff they do today.
But I knew when deliveries were and the diff price fluctuations as well. But that's all retail.
But one small note, a large percentage of retail gas stations may still be corporate owned, not franchised. So like mobile is shipping to their own direct sellers.
No real middlemen.
