Years ago I had a German Shepard and his favorite toy was a flat rock he got at a creek bed while hunting. He didn't really chew on it, he just liked carrying it around. He would give me the dirtiest looks at me if I took it and hide it from him. He would search everywhere for it.

Also had a cat for 15 years that his favorite toy was a stuffed raccoon almost as big as he was. He would attack it, (after I rubbed it down with catnip,) and kick the crap out of. Lost count on how many times I had to re-sew it.
