Who said the fetuses are not alive? At the age when a pregnancy might be terminated legally, the cells are alive, but could not survive without being nurtured in a woman's body. Carrots are alive, too, and if you trim off a skin tag off your pigskin body is that killing human life, too? Making a woman carry a dead fetus is cruel punishment, as it can likely cost her life. I think you better stick to global warming denial, as trying to tell women what to do with their bodies is basically tromping her rights, but you evangelical-based idiots prefer deciding for all women, as their having choice apparently gives you the hives or something.

No 'perhaps', just unfounded and now disproven assertions....the mothers milk constituting conservative 'thought'.

Planed Parenthood sale of body parts?

As of 2026, multiple federal and state investigations have concluded that Planned Parenthood did not illegally sell fetal body parts. While the organization previously facilitated the donation of fetal tissue for medical research, investigations found no evidence of profit, and Planned Parenthood has since ended its reimbursement program for these donations.

Investigative Findings

The allegations stemmed from a series of undercover videos released in 2015 by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP).

Judicial Rulings: Courts later determined the videos were "misleadingly edited" to remove context where Planned Parenthood staff explained they only sought to recoup actual costs, which is legal.

State Investigations: Investigations in more than a dozen states—including Florida, Kansas, and Washington—found no evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

Grand Jury Actions: A Texas grand jury cleared Planned Parenthood of all misconduct and instead indicted the activists behind the videos for tampering with government records and attempting to purchase human tissue.

Current Legal and Policy Status (2026)

Federal Funding Ban: On January 22, 2026, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) reinstated a ban on the use of federal funds for research involving human fetal tissue obtained from elective abortions.

Planned Parenthood Policy: In October 2015, Planned Parenthood stopped accepting even legal reimbursements for the costs associated with fetal tissue donation to avoid further controversy.

Legal Outcomes: In January 2025, the activists involved in the undercover recordings, David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt, pleaded guilty to felony charges in California related to recording confidential conversations without consent.
