#23036 RE: oldstocks #23033

Spot on OS but I'm wondering where the MTi IoT platform is going to come from. Sounds as if we might learn that in a few weeks but I'm not holding my breath with this second government shutdown. There's a big back up to be sorted once they return to work. 🤔

Aerodyne and MTi (Mingothings International) do not share identical Digital Twin technology—they're distinct systems integrated via partnership, not merged into one.

Tech Distinctions
Aerodyne's digital twins center on drone-captured data analytics (360DT3 platform), feeding real-time geospatial models for asset inspection, infrastructure monitoring, and predictive maintenance in energy/telecom—often powered by AWS/ML for 3D twins of towers or sites.

MTi's twins leverage thethings.io IoT platform for broader edge computing, metering, and scalable simulations in smart cities/infrastructure, focusing on sensor fusion rather than aerial primacy.

Partnership Synergy
Their Sept 2025 collab combines these: Aerodyne drones populate MTi's IoT twins with visual/environmental data for Southeast Asian projects (e.g., smarter grids, urban planning).

Separate origins mean complementary feeds into hybrid twins, not a unified stack. Affluence's roll-up (now including Marina Eye-Cam) likely amplifies this IoT-drone-security combo.
