Edison was a big component of DC current with JP Morgan backing. JP Morgan tried and almost bankrupted Westinghouse as we know who won the race. If memory serves me the companies were going after the Niagara Falls power plant, AC and Westinghouse won JP Morgan licked his wounds and got richer later
