Yes, there's some discrepancies with the reporting and the case presented. I think (no quoting here) that initial reports from media outlets were saying the injuries were minor to the worker. That said, we all knew or suspected that any on-site injury would involve some compensation (for medical at minimum). The attorney language has shifted to "catastrophic" and "severely injured," which is not a huge surprise, but clearly it's not catastrophic enough to be asking for $5 million. I would hope that insurance companies can read between the lines and realize a deal can be made here....make an offer.
