My second computer is a macbook pro from 2012. Apple isn't my second language so I'm not proficient in jobworld.

People may have assumed you were in windows and some windows functions do not work in apple the same way. Add in you may be using the touchpad or a uni apple mouse, which would add to the confusion.

I use Apple. And until a few years ago, I had an iMac made in late 2011. And it became obsolete in 2022. Now I have a MacBook Air.

You should consider getting a new one. I'm a heavy user, so mine eventually die, but I couldn't have continued with my old one because it no longer supported the OS it used, and wasn't capable of loading a new one.
