I once copied 50 posts from "bashers" that were reported as violations of TOS by me, but not removed by admin. I used the exact language they did in their posts as If they were my own. Every one of mine was removed, but not one of those 50 original basher posts were removed by Admin. I complained to Admin and nothing. Actually not nothing. I was scolded for posting such crap - and it was crap - nothing about their posts with the same content.
I then showed instances of the same wording with no deletion and was quickly removed as a moderator. I kept it up and was banned from posting. One of the times when I asked why the other posts with the same exact language was allowed to remain, I was told that "we will not have "whataboutism" here." LOL. Don't you use logic in here!
This is an admin that I absolutely loved for her fairness... until it wasn't so fair. She still is probably a great person, but I must have criticized one of her friends or something. Whenever I had a problem before all this, I would seek her out and ask her to explain. She always took the time and her answers were thoughtful. Not so much lately. After 6 months since this started, I am still a bit pissed over all this. I got so mad that I threw out my Ihub t'shirts I've had since 2000. I am pretty much done with Ihub except when I have nothing to do... like today.
Janice, you may actually remember this... I actually posted one of the posts here and asked what was wrong with it as if I wrote it... it was an exact, word for word copy and paste from a "basher." Admin privately said it was fine - her exact wording was, "I have seen far worse." You Janice, on the other hand said, "are you kidding." You thought that my post should have been deleted for violation of TOS because it should have. That admin scolded me for using this board for telling the truth - the post remained on the other board - actually removed by me and then un-removed by admin.
When I was removed as a mod, one of the "bashers" that posted some of the crap took my place. Too funny. This site is a basher paradise. I don't think that board has anyone that likes the company as a mod. Maybe a little of both sides would be good? NO? And yes, my posts regularly get deleted when I post now, but not the guy who says "f%@k you. Not the guy who called a black guy a monkey.
I personally want others to intervene in my stocks - they are welcome to badmouth any stock I invested in. If they can convince me that I made a bad choice, I will gladly thank them. It has even happened a few times.
Daily calling me a clown, "diluded", loser, paid promoter, idiot, fu#@ing idiot, pumper clown (my personal favorite!)... those things should be controlled a bit. When all conversation is putting others down, it just isn't fun having conversations. Conversations are a bit more civil on other stock sites. And yes Janice, I have respected your work for years - decades, but not all of us want to be "saved." Sometimes, we just want to talk about our investment... get others' opinions, not be called names. You are probably right about having "non-investors" spending every waking hour on these message boards being a good thing, but maybe we just need smarter, kinder bashers than the ones on the boards I regularly read (present company excepted of course - I have never seen you be disrespectful, but I have seen your minions... er... followers).
