If you want a clean board with pretty predominant discussion of the company/stock, then you would apply the majority of the filters. When you are viewing the board, the message(s) will not be displayed.
The only positive I see here is ihub is attempting to give people a choice of sorts, but you've reduced your moderator concept to practically nothing. I hope ihub is hiring more admin because this may increase the work load. Or remove your load altogether.
Because of moderation rule flipping, 85% or more of my moderation is reporting a tos like any other member from the drop down and the rest is removing pure unrelated spam and personal attacks or vulgarity. So I guess any mods left just tagging stuff is fairly close to the tos report feature?
Update on Moderation and new Content Filters Following up on last week’s post, today we’re rolling out some changes related to Moderation and giving members more control of what they see/don’t see.
For Moderators: Non-Stock boards and Premium boards: There is no change to the Moderation process.
For Members: You can view/edit your content filters in a few places: At the top of any stock board is a button - “Content Filters” In your Settings, there’s a tab for “Content Filters” On any post you read that has a tag on it that you’re not filtering out, you’ll see a little wrench. Here’s the direct link: https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/edit_messagefilters.aspx
Once everybody has their filters tweaked just the way they want, we hope that it results in a more optimal experience for all.
If you want to read purely stock-only messages - turn on all the filters. If you don’t mind a little off topic, turn that one off.
Our Moderators and Admin do a difficult job every day here and we hope this is an improvement for all to get what are primarily here for -- quality investing discussions.
This is new, so we’ll be monitoring the stats and feedback from all....but please do give it a few days of kicking the tires.
