I don't think anyone here wants it to end currently and/or expects Russia to concede to the disfranchisement of voters in the area of conflict. I am not the one being short sided-just the opposite. Yanukovych had to flee the Country and within one month there was an uprising that called for support from Russia.

When you step back and look on without bias, you will see why things took place. It sucks...and Russia is not completely at fault here. The truth sucks..but it is still the truth.

This is actually the first time Ukraine can ever be called independent since 1991. You don't want those votes in said areas...they have been the ones undermining growth and an opening to the West. They need to save Kharkiv and Odessa/ Mykolaiv Oblast...most people in Odessa speak Russian.

If this continues...such results would be a nightmare. Fuck that.
