It sounds to me like the next announcement will determine the treatment of the SPSPA in recap and release. If they're going to write down the SPSPA, they don't need to hire ibankers to do that in advance. In other words, if the next announcement is to hire ibankers, SPSPA=CONVERT

Ackman put together a plan that advocates for SPSPA writedown/forgiveness/declared paid back as step 1.

Bessent previously has said that they would be hiring ibankers. Hiring ibankers implies that Ackman's plan is DOA. Ackman is putting up last minute resistence before SPSPA gets restructured.

Ackman can put together messaging for Bessent/Trump. Basically it is the HERO to common shareholders card. I'm not sure what value that has to Trump.
