Not in a very long time, except on Friday with Mamdani. But ironically, that's what his father did, with Donnie's help. a long time ago. In Queens. No high Manhattan prices. (No black people allowed, either, and the government went after Fred and Donnie for that.)
Mamdani said they talked about a lot of different things, and I'll bet one of them was construction permitting. That is a a topic Donnie apparently knows a lot about, and he has many objections. And so does everyone who has to deal with it. So Mamdani will no doubt ask for help with that, and related stuff.
