Not sure where you are getting "so many have been helped by places like this". It is a legal opium den that can prevent overdose deaths. That is it's main purpose. I would like to see the numbers on those places that actually help them get detoxed..and the results. The issue is that they really don't show any difference in overdose deaths compared to street rescue.
The intent is fine and those there at said facilities are not the bad ones..they are good ones. But you have to understand the underlying 501c grift behind them:
