you know nothing about the beef industry
you must be in a big city and never lived on a farm or ranch
You never fed livestock and sure don't know those markets
Droughts do cause ranchers to reduce heard size
If you don't have feed you can't raise the beef.
Most cattle feederrs in the midwest buy feedeer cattle
from Western ranchers. Yes some of us do have small heards
to raise from birth to finish. But if our crops reduce we csut back
on what we keep to feed.
