Here's Some Of The "Centrists" Who Are Helping Senate Republicans End The Government Shutdown.
I’m extremely upset and depressed about the news I am reading about a Senate “deal” to end the longest government shutdown in history. The media reports that it is essentially the same group of Senate “centrists” — vomiting now — that capitulated in March during the first budget showdown. Here are the ones that I have been able to confirm so far as stabbing us all in the back.
Senator Angus King of ME (“independent”) Senator Jeanne Shaheen of NH Senator Maggie Hasson of NH Senator Gary Peters of MI Senator John Fetterman of PA Senator Marie Cortez Masto of NV Senator Tim Kaine of VA I’m still waiting to see the final vote, but reports are that up to 10 so-called Democrats are set to vote to end the shutdown. Therefore, three more are expected to sell us out.
Yes, it’s seven so far that are on the record. I’m going to guess that Senator Slotkin of MI will be another one to vote to end the shutdown. She did that before in March.
My comments on this group and why I HATE CENTRISTS:
King just got reelected, so why is he being a shit and voting to end the shutdown? Mainers will have to tell me why because I can think of no-good reason why.
Shaheen is an old woman who is retiring, and she is letting her inner centrism run loose. Hasson is another terrible centrist. Peters is retiring this year, so why does he insist on shitting all over the rest of us? Probably like Sheehan I suppose. Fetterman is just a prick. Masto is not up for reelection until 28, so she probably figures that all of us will forgive and forget by the time she runs again. I used to have a modicum of respect for Tim Kaine. Now, I see why everyone says he was a terrible VP pick for Hillary Clinton. Centrists pose as sensible “moderates, but they are anything but real principled moderates. https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2025/11/9/2352979/-Here-s-Some-Of-The-Centrists-Who-Are-Helping-Senate-Republicans-End-The-Government-Shutdown?pm_campaign=front_page&pm_source=latest_community&pm_medium=web
