Yep. The solution is simple. The bottom line is that the president does not make the choice. The energy companies decide what way they are going to go and most of them are leaning toward renewable sources for future supply.
The inspector job was always in the cards. It's what I came down here to do in the first place. The exams will be a breeze (they are open book tests). The current inspector has even offered to show me around and take me on "ride alongs" to meet some of the builders I'll be mostly dealing with.
I still want to take the Holidays off and relax so I'm going to do a couple projects around here to keep me motivated. I'm going to start with my bedroom closet. It's 8 feet long and 3 feet deep but the only access is a small 30 inch wide door at one end of the closet. I'm not sure what genius thought that was practical but I'm going to open up the wall and put in a set of sliding doors so I'll have an open 6 feet to access my wardrobe with and make some decent accessible storage, above and below, so I can store more of my crap on it.
It all needs to be re taped, new lights, an outlet, switches and fully re-finished so I get to play painter and electrician too. That'll keep me busy for a bit.
