That is not all AI got wrong. Spider silk is the only fiber ours can be compared to. It is all in the molecular properties. Based on what we know, KBLB has the toughest fiber on the planet. It isn't what is in production right now, but the sericulture they are building will work across all SS strains.

Kim still hasn't given us the particulars on the latest breakthrough. Many discoveries waiting to be achieved and revealed. May not happen before someone swoops in and pays for the tech.

i think the AI response is mixing together the process we use and a fermentation process and pretending they are the same thing...they are not...although AI does state that the resulting material does contain spidroin which some moron a bit ago claimed it does not...
