There was never an official date of November 15th for anything related to the merger/acquisition.

It was officially announced that the merger would take place in the fourth quarter. Many people pegged the middle of Q4 as the likely date.
The "middle" would be Nov 15.

I believe LG often used that date, and it was a reasonable guess, however the merger happened much earlier: the first day of Q4, Oct 1.
