Beyond the law is how Trump sees himself, and maybe the reason he sees himself at war, and
the reason he has relabeled Defense to War, is because Miller told him that war was not illegal.

"Look man....I honestly can never put war in a legal context because
it is brutally immoral on a very large scale. To me such is beyond law.

Though i get where you are coming from, giving up on striving for international accountability for such atrocity
does not feel the best way forward. Just as giving up on holding Trump accountable for his bulldozing
the legal and constitutional system would not be the best way forward.
