I've seen one disclaimer after another, including my own, saying that one can and should deplore the murder of Kirk while at the same time deploring the hateful speech from a faux Christian race and gender fucking bigot.
Why? F. Scott Fitzgerald said "The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function.'
Leaving aside the obvious pat on my back, the inability to measure up to Fitzgerald's not particularly high bar is rampant among Kirk's 2nd and 3rd rate defenders.
