Is it likely that Futurism is right about AI and everyone else is wrong?
To be fair, today The Economist ran a link to one of Futurism's AI stories. The one about whether it would turn out to be "just another technology", not one that would change the world.
And in fact everyone's talking about the same things. An example from Wired:
