You realize, I didn't post the article about fuel cell range extenders. It's in the post you replied to.

Maybe Plug was too early to the market or the technology was too limited at the time. Whatever the reason, as technological advances are made the viability should be revisited, as long as it's a problem. Advances aren't made because people give up the first time something is tried, and doesn't work.

You do realize Plug tried this. First, they did test and that failed to produce business. Second, they worked with a retro fit company that also went under and lastly Hyvia in Europe that went under. If Plug is to survive, they need to do with what makes sense and works. They do not have Billions any longer to play around with.

I just took the Bolander challenge, and won.

Can anyone name one vehicle with a hydrogen range extender?

Steve - A hydrogen Range Extender is just about the dumbest thing in transportation as a hydrogen Zepplin.

My car can "recharge" at any gas station in 5 minutes, and be my back-up power system at my home as well. I don't need a big noisy box in my back yard.

You can't even find a hydrogen station in 48 states. I guess if you buy enough busses from MB, they will throw in a pump.
