i gave them my resignation at 58, best thing that ever happened to me. and yes keep busy but again, at my pace!!!

Yep, I took buyout in 2007 at 57.
Had another job offer but turned it down because I followed someone advise many years earlier: obtain and have many sources of income before you even think of retiring.
I sometime wish I had taken that other job offer and worked another year or two.
Because we all know what happen in 2008!!!
I lost a lot of money during that time, but I never regretted retiring.
Just meant that I wasn't going to buy that $100K+ RV.
But I have traveled the world since.

Now, if NLST comes through that $100K RV could still be in play :-)
Although I may be too old to drive it.
