In my son's company everyone is getting trained in AI at least 1 hour per day. It's a big investment of time and he is in corporate strategy. Basically they are training AI to take over their jobs but it will take some time. In my daughter's case she was able to do performance reviews of over 45 partners and 200 directors in less than 7 hours after she input the data. It would normally take her a month or more. Only four reviews were changed. While AI is being looked for productivity gains the real race is for AI super intelligence. Whatever country gets that (only China and the USA seem to be in this race) will be at a significant strategic advantage. Trump with his stupid energy policies is screwing us.
In this race we will need far more energy than we are currently producing. We should have all of the above energy policy like China. 25 years ago we produced 4x of what China produced in electricity. Today China produces much more than us at a cheaper cost and they are adding more electricity at a faster rate. It is estimated that we will need a few 10 gigiwatts of new electric energy to satisfy the AI server farms. We are nowhere near that.
