Ha Ha, yes, the ol' acid wash. I think that was muriatic acid though. I did a little stint as a tuck pointer and labored for the brickies so I know exactly what you're talking about.
LOL for some strange reason all you had to do was mention that stuff and I can smell it in the air right now. That odor never goes away from me.
